YDSAce takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains, in plain English, what data we collect when you use our YDS exam prep app, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
1. What we collect
Account information: your email address (for sign-in), or your name and email if you sign in with Apple or Google.
Usage data: the questions you answer, your right/wrong counts, study time, and achievements — used to track your in-app progress.
Device information: device model, OS version, language preference — used for compatibility and debugging.
Crash reports: anonymous crash logs via Sentry. No personal data is included.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive data.
2. How we use it
To create and authenticate your account
To save and display your study progress
To run the optional weekly leaderboard (display name only, opt-out available)
To detect and fix app crashes and bugs
To manage Pro subscriptions (via RevenueCat)
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third parties that handle your data
Supabase (eu-west-1, Ireland) — authentication and database
Resend (eu-west-1) — sign-in email delivery
Apple Sign-in / Google Sign-in — optional identity providers
Sentry — anonymous crash tracking
RevenueCat — Pro subscription management (after launch)
Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and payment processing
Your data is stored within the European Union (Ireland / Frankfurt). We comply with both GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK.
4. Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized statistics (such as total questions answered across all users) may be retained.
YDSAce is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via in-app notification.
